Acme Type-I Propane Tank Thread Connector

The Acme Type-I Propane Tank Thread Connector attaches to the regulator and allows hand tightening of the threads to the tank. The flow rate is 70,000 to 200,000 BTUs per hour. It connects an outside threaded propane tank or cylinder to high pressure appliances, such as portable grills (BBQ), turkey fryers, camping stoves, and the like. This is most often done via a regulator. The Light-Green Type I connector is designed to provide the highest flow rate possible before going into bypass mode. It is also designed to allow pent up gas to escape after the hose is disconnected from the appliance. This self-depressurization allows for the storing of a non-pressurized LP gas hose. The Connection is Type I Acme on one side and 1/4" MNPT on the other.

The Acme Type-I Propane Tank Thread Connector eliminates the need for wrenches. It features a thermal shut-off and excess flow device. It is ANSI Z21.81 certified, and is for LP Gas use ONLY. Maximum flow capacity is 200K BTU per hour. The temperature range is -40° to 250° F.
