Drop forged, carbon steel hooks are quenched and tempered to increase strength, slowly stretching to indicate overload situations. Cast steel safety latches, attached with Allen head screws and lock nuts, are a higher industry standard compared to stamped safety latches.

Additionally, the induction hardened 100-grade load chain provides 20% more strength than the common 80-grade load chain found on other hoists. This steel hand chain hoist is equipped with impact-resistant covers that provide durability and protection.

In regards to safety, a patented fused brake design provides durability, increasing safety. The fused brake system has a lifetime replacement warranty from the manufacturer. The hoist has a double pawl design and alloy steel hooks that rotate 360 degrees for easy rigging, boosting jobsite safety. This JET chain hoist has a compact design with a smaller body for low headroom applications and use in confined areas.

A double-enclosed brake cover keeps dirt and debris away from the brake mechanism. Weighing 60 pounds, JET’s overhead lifting hoist has the capacity to lift up to two tons as high as 20 feet.
