This 3” I.D. Steel Hose Mender is designed to repair (or splice) damaged hose or to extend hose length. The 3” I.D. is the same on both ends. The hose mender does require clamps to attach to the hose (NOT INCLUDED). The shank of the mender (3”) is for use on 3” I.D. hose, allowing the mender to grip the tube of the hose firmly. This prevents leaky splices.
